A dynamic branded documentary series profiling Ellesse ambassadors, exploring their personal stories through stylised and intimate short films.
This branded content series was commissioned by Pentland to spotlight three cultural figures—musician Nina Nesbitt, boxer Liam Smith, and rapper Not3s—as ambassadors for Ellesse. Shot by James Copson, the campaign comprises of short-form documentaries that reveal the personal journeys, motivations, and creative philosophies of each ambassador, aligning their stories with the brand’s ethos. From Nina’s independent reinvention to Liam’s deep ties to sport and family, and Not3s’ genre-blending rise to fame, each film offers a distinct and human portrait shaped by authenticity.
The production team used a combination of Alexa Mini, Sony F55, and RED cameras, with Ultra Primes and Fujinon zooms to adapt fluidly across performance, interview and vérité styles. Across the series, the visual approach shifted to meet the tone of each story—balancing cinematic polish with handheld immediacy, and always prioritising an emotional connection between subject and viewer.
